The dragon hovers over the lioness in shades of camouflage green (a poem)

Today’s entry.

From the safety of my window
I watch the drama unfold
The ghosts in the parking lot have run off
leaving the barking dogs behind
Wind hisses in a corner
at unseen nemeses determined to stick around
Conventional wisdom would say to run
but I know better
Once the leaves have fallen from the trees
the dragon and the lioness
will be gone
