National Poetry Writing Month 2017, Day 18

My day 18 poem for National Poetry Writing Month uses the prompt from Napowrimo.net—to write a poem incorporating neologisms, or made-up words. Having recently done that in a couple of poems, I wasn’t feeling particularly enthusiastic about this one—but I dug out a couple from years back (the oldest dating back to 1989 or 1990), and went from there…

The wonders of infantation

She attained mobularity early on
(no doubt owing to her flexicality)
practically velocitating from one end of the hallway to the other
a bluration incapable of being captured
but for her proclivation to tangle with the cat

Now she’s nocturnating peacefully
the aforementioned purrator at her feet
